Graphite on Enamel
Graphite moves across enamel,
marking a stark contrast.
Shapes emerge, dissolve,
return again
a rhythm without reason,
a story without words.
This piece invites pause,
not for answers,
but for observation.
Cloisonné Enamel
This piece is based off of a photograph I took during the drive to Montana at the start of my college journey. With my mom next to me, windows down, music blasting and the warm summer air pouring in around us.
At the time, I didn’t know that this place, with its wide horizons and endless skies, would come to mean so much to me. As we drove, the western sky seemed to lure me in with its quiet beauty and became something I continued to admire. Now, as I prepare to leave, this work acts as both a reflection and a farewell, an attempt to honor its vastness and express my gratitude.
